You stop by a book store to order a book a friend recommended for your newphew's birthday. The store is almost empty. You approach the clerk at the counter. He is about 20, fair-skinned, wearing glasses, and roughly 20 pounds overwieght. He is wearing a bright tie-dye shirt, pink paint in his hair, and necklace with the kind of stick cross seen in the ads for The Blair Witch Project. He looks up the book on the computer and takes down your name and address for notification. He keeps his eyes and voice low. I would think nothing of it. I don't personally give a pair of dingoes kidneys what a person looks like - or how they are dressed....and I wouldn't know this Blair Witch person if I fell over them anyway! : 2. While walking across a busy college plaza on a sunny day, two girls, one black about 12 and one white about 9, approach you asking for a quarter. Nothing is remarkable about their appearance, speech, or dress. There are no obvious parents or campus authorities nearby. I would probably tell them that, being an Aussie, I don't go round with quarters in my pocket....but that they could have a nice shiny Australian $1 coin between them if they liked....then I would ask them if they needed any help. By the way....is the colour thing significant? Interesting little questionaire....but please, Sir....can I have some more? smiles
