One group is called "warm fuzzies" and the other "cold pricklies". Warm fuzzies are people who go into a situation expecting a pleasant and satisfying outcome. Example: If you do work for them they are easy to please as long as the job is well done. : Cold pricklies are those who are never satisfied with the efforts of others. If you do work for them they will always find something about what you've done that they aren't pleased with. : Type 4's, iNFp's, eNFp's, etc.;are you a warm fuzzy or a cold prickly? : Ev This is actually a tough question for me. I'm moving towards the warm fuzzy side, but I'm probably still more of a cold prickly (I'm INFJ, BTW.) I used to always imagine the worst. I once found a joke in some giant joke book that said, "Expect the worst--that way you'll never be disappointed." I seemed to take it seriously. It all went along with my feeling of always being a victim in life; everything seemed to be out of my control, and I figured that things would never turn out in my favor. I'm a whole lot better about this now. I always look for things that will give me a warm fuzzy feeling, though I'm not sure if that's what this question is about. I still tend to be very critical, though more critical of myself than of others. So I don't think it's that the efforts of others can't please me, but more of a dissatisfaction with the way things are and where I am in my life. But yes, I am rarely satisfied and always want more. Well, having written that, I guess you have to tally up one more for cold prickly. Sorry if I disappointed you. :-) - Hal -
