Enneagram Type 4 Board Archive More of the "situation game"..Posted by Matches on August 19, 1999 at 00:04:41: I like this sort of thing and I agree that real life situations and individuals' responses to those situations can be quite valuable.... A couple of situations popped into my head.... 1.)You're a young kid, living in a small suburb of about 9,000 people you're...about 10-12 years old and are walking home from somewhere. You're carrying a somewhat cumbersome load...(perhaps a backback, a saxophone case...an athletic bag...whatever...and are beginning to be irritated by it. At the corner, the light is red, so you set your things down and wait. A white Toyota Camry pulls up to the corner and rolls down the window. You hear a shout from the car, "Hey, do you guys need a ride?" You look in and see a young man, about 19-22 years old looking at you from the passenger seat. He is wearing a T-Shirt and an orange baseball cap. You look at the driver, who is about the same age, kind of smiling, and also appears to be wearing an orange hat, though different from the other guy's hat. You originally say nothing, and the passenger repeats his question, "Do you want a ride? Are you guys going home?" ....What is your reaction? What do you say, and why do you say it? You are a cashier in a small toy store in a local mall. People come and go...you notice two older kids walking in...probably in their late teens or early 20s.. They are dressed rather plainly... one wearing a gray shirt that says "Cleveland Hts All Stars 1999" in red...the other dressed down as well. They are ambling through the store, looking at various items. You turn your attention to a customer, and when you are through, find the two young men in line. The one wearting the gray shirt steps forward and hands you a 2 inch by 2 inch mini "pocket book" entitled, "Unofficial 'Posh Spice in Your Pocket' Book" Its regulat price was 4.99 (US) but has since been marked down to 99 cents. His friend is standing back a few feet, looking at other toys and occasionally looking up and laughing. Do you just ring up the purchase without commenting? DO you ask him if the book is for him? If you say nothing, do you formulate any opinions about them?
