: The hundreds and hundreds of things and projects and ideas that I want to work on, but never make the time to do. It's LOTS of fun to THINK about them, but so very draining to actually do anything.
: About being able to get things done at work, but not for yourself--have you given a thought to the deal with deadlines and the NEED to get things done, as opposed to the DESIRE to get things done? I've found that when it was schoolwork or a task to do for someone else--something that NEEDED to be done--I was able to do it...I may have procrastinated, but at least I got it done. But when it's for ME--that is, when no one ELSE is relying upon me--I just never finish.
: I was recently given the task of cutting some ribbons to give out as awards. I did some, then slacked off on the rest. I told the person who needed them done, "GIVE ME A DEADLINE! I will NOT get these things done unless you do so!" She gave me a deadline, I put it off a bit more, then I finished them all at once.
: Honestly, I would never have finished those if they had been just a project of my own. I would've set them aside and started, I dunno, cutting up index cards for another project of mine, before setting THOSE aside and brainstorming something else.
: Ugh.
