: In a college psychology class I remember learning that sleep deprivation can lead to hallucinations. It is sort of like if you don't dream everyday (whether you remember it or not) then your mind can't handle it and your need to dream sort of spills over into your waking life. Dreams are supposed to serve as some kind of outlet for the brain. It's good to know that you need to dream, lucid or not, for health.
yikes, that's what's happening to me...!
With my month-old baby (wow... a month already!!!) well, I'm sleep deprived!
I am half asleep when I need to wake up again, with a dream already started and while I am half walking up the dream seems so REAL that I don't know if I'm actually awake or not... And anyhow, it's always a kind of freaky feeling! I don't think I've reached the point of hallucinating... BUT, who knows...!
