Fine descrip of shadows from 2mama. Further, I can recognize my shadows when I get irritated at a trait of another. When I see some behavior of another person and that behavior irritates or even angers me, I look at myself to see if I have it. Jungians say "You spot it, you got it." For instance, you'll find some guys making all sorts of assumptions of other guys who they believe are sleeping around. Usually, they have no real data to support this assumption, so they are projecting their own "shit" onto another person.
