I know that feeling, and the scary thing is, I know it from MYSELF. You know you are rather poor off when you can't even deal with yourself properly. And I'm not even a BPD, though there are times when I think I come close. :)

On the "healing miracle," it's true, most of us just don't have the necessary skills to adequately help another; and sometimes the necessary help just isn't to be found (as in my case). I'm certain there are some times when letting go is the only thing one can do without driving themselves crazy in the process. It's sad, but it's never been a perfect world...
