I argue with anyone who talks about stuff that I have thought about. Even if someone is talking about stuff that I don't have a conclusion on, I will do all I can to argue, even if it means creating an entirely new system of beliefs about the topic at hand. I am usually fairly disappointed whenever I find that I can't make a contribution that demonstrates my independence of thought and makes me appear knowledgeable and intelligent. Basically, I try to show people how "clever" I am - "clever" implies uniqueness as well as correctness.
