Pleasure and pain

Freaky. We think about all the same things, but we arrive at different conclusions on all of them.

I say, the heart asks for pleasure when it isn't in pain, and excuse from pain when it is in pain. For example, if you step on a hot waffle iron, you don't immediately think of massaging your foot. You immediately think of getting your foot off the waffle iron (assuming that somehow your foot stayed there long enough to think about it without a reflex action to get your foot off it. Maybe the entire floor is covered in hot waffle irons)
