I've quoted from Riso's Personality Types on this in an earlier post. Fours are infamous for dropping people without warning. Yes, the thought is that disallusionment is the cause of this. But at a deeper level, this type of behavior stems from not feeling connected to one's parents early on and not feeling understood.
I hope to become better in this area, but it's slow going at this point.
