Enneagram Type 4 Board Archive Clarifying meaning of "feeling"Posted by Lisza on March 31, 2001 at 00:51:04: In Reply to: Re: Psychic ability and Intuition posted by froggyTheFrog on March 31, 2001 at 00:22:45: : I can often "feel" the solution to a problem before I derive it. I rely on that a lot in my work. I would hardly call this psychic ability. It's more like my mind solves problems quickly without me looking, and then I have to figure out how I got there. :) : Froggy the Frog +++I think what you have is intuition in the Jungian sense. I think I should have clarified what I meant by "feeling". One is example is of a woman who is away from home, she suddenly has a feeling that something went wrong at home. This feeling prompted her to go home as soon as possible and when she went home she realised that her dog died. Another example is when, for instance, when several people walk into a house that looks perfectly fine, but one especially sensitive person has the nagging feeling that something is wrong. This person is right because the house later collapsed. Or another example is when someone has the feeling that another person is telling a lie even though the other person seemed very truthful, and no one else thinks this person is lying. I often hear people tell me that they have a feeling about something. These feelings sometimes turn out to be accurate, and during other times inaccurate. But the point is that they have these feelings, rely on them, and always answer something like "I just know" when ask how they know.
