Dear Amanda,

Re. the following test of introversion/extraversion,

Ask yourself this....if you were really tired and needed to gather your energies again, would you a) find a quite space and a good book/movie/cd....? or b) call up a few friends to visit and sit around with them all night solving all the problems of life, the universe and everything:

I tried asking myself and the reply was, it would depend on whether I was being sensible or not. Then, it would depend how tired and if you meant physically tired or emotionally drained. it would depend on a lot of factors so it doesn't help me to know if I'm intro. or extra.

This is a question I have been asking myself for more years than I care to mention. I am familiar with both Jung's definitions and those of Dorothy Rowe (Australian writer/shrink, lives in England)whose phone no. I've just remembered I have. May be i should ring her.

I thought i was intro. I'm sure i used to be till i was 14 and a half.
I became more extravert that year at a Christian Arts Festival - Greenbelt. Everyone was really surprised.
I tend now to think I'm an extravert, but still not entirely sure. My energy comes from people AND ideas. Numerous tests I have done have placed me straight down the middle, which the scoring shouldn't have allowed to happen really.

My inability to resolve the question has led me to invent the word, 'quaquavert' fromt the Latin, 'quaqua' meaning in all directions.ie both in and out.

Have you any more thoughts on intro./extra.?

Tiggy. (your, probably more reticent, twin)
