Been fiddling around with the MB /Enneagram correlations, more for fun because I like putting things in categories. There doesn't seem to be anything obvious. I ended up creating a third category on the basis of my own paradoxical nature; a category which encapsulated the two preceding categories, (like my 'quaquavert'), then found I was putting fours, fives and nines in it each time because these are my favourites and relate to Me, My nephew Neil who is already well into the Enneagram at the tender and problematic age of 15, and that wretched cold cad of a Five, Jonathan, (cursed be he). Then tried an 'odd paradoxical one left over' method, but it proved unsatisfying. So I stopped trying to make pretty patterns and just guessed at this. I know it's crap, but I like systems to fit together. I WANT it to fit together, and I'm the Imperious Princess Tiggy, so it WILL fit together!
Some therapist I read said the MB was more related to the more superficial parts of the personality, and the E-gram to the depths. So he worked on sorting out the E-type problems first with a client, and then the MB. There must be a lot of overlap, but I can see what he means.
