I think spirituality and creativity are inseparable, in that we are CREATED. The nine personality types are like the primary colors or the laws of physics...they are scientific, and designed by someone immensely intelligent. The individualist, type four, artist, was created with the NEED to create. So many write that they are unsatisfied with their jobs. OF COURSE!! Sadly, self-doubt is an unhealthy aspect of being a four, part of being imperfect, part of every "four"'s personality. Even with knowledge of the enneagram, it seems that self-doubt is still a problem. My problem was always that I felt I didn't deserve or just simply would never GET what others had. I still struggle with that, but I know it's irrational and wrong. SO -- a four has to find a creative outlet and pursue it. Look what happens when a four overcomes his/her self-doubt and pushes to be successful. The greatest artists in the world -- Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Prince...what would the world of art be like without them? These are motivators for me. I know you can be successful. It's inside of you.

I must say that while I love imagery, and think in it constantly myself, astrology has no appeal. I have never seen any real order or trueness in astrology. However, the enneagram seems to be a discovery. It is spiritual only to the extent that it is TRUE. It's a map. Much like scientists have discovered order in the universe, men have discovered order in human personality. That's why it rings so true, and those into astrology seem to be so confused.

Just so you know, I don't dislike sixes as much as it may seem. As I have said, some of the people I am closest to are sixes, and I still view each person as an individual, regardless of their type.

So what do you think Butch is doing? I noticed his messages had been cleared.
