Hal, It's good to see you posting. Haven't seen you around for a while. Sorry to hear that things aren't working out so well for you, either. I don't know what's going on, but keep your chin up. You're an excellent, worthwhile person and deserve the best life can offer you. Yes, you're poem is great and uplifting, too. Hope things pick up for you. Please know that you are not alone and are cared and thought about as well. Cecil : No words of wisdom from me either, so I'm not sure why I'm writing except to show my support. I don't have to tell you that I know exactly how you feel. I've been having some bad days too. And so I know that nothing I say will "cheer you up." I can't promise that everything will turn around and be peachy soon, because I just don't know. All I really can say about the job thing is that somebody there made a poor judgement call, but I know that doesn't help you feel any better about it. : Now that I think about it, I can share this thing I read last night, and sent to some other friends this morning. I hope it helps us all find some meaning. : - Hal - : ------------------------------------ : "To those beset by suffering, : the following has been told: : There was a man who had a young child. : At times the father sought to frighten the boy. : He would dress up in strange clothing : so that his son would not know him. : At first the child was frightened, : but as time passed he came to know : that this too was his father. : Then he would call out "Father!" : and the father, filled with compassion, : would take off the disguise : and reveal himself to his son. : So it is with those who suffer. : When they come to understand : that it is God Himself : who is the source of their pain, : they can then begin to call out to Him. : But those who do not see that all is from God : and seek their cure elsewhere- : these will never find true healing." : - from "Your Word is Fire - The Hasidic : Masters on Contemplative Prayer"
