Different E-types reaction to the enneagram

Hello all,

I've been doing a little campaigning for the enneagram at work in hopes of getting my fellow workers interested. Their reactions to the system have been somewhat disheartening, to say the least. Three of them are E-1's, one is an 8, and one is a 7. The three 1's at least thought the concept interesting enough for them to read their type descriptions. The 7 & 8 didn't even get that far. I'm amazed that people aren't a little more interested in whom they are and why. My wife is also a 1, starting to be a pattern here, and she is glad that I've found something to pique my interest but doesn't care to pursue it herself. Could these other types be onto something which we've sorely missed? Could it be that ignorance of one's motivations is the better way to go through life? Are they happier than we are? Answers, anyone???
