It's not us who decide not to fit in, we get rejected, people find us eccentric and feel threatened, and they reject us. I have no trouble accepting different kinds of people, but most other people are not so tolerant.
Example. I remember how much more accepting my sister was of one of my class mates who to her seemed 'normal' than she has ever been of me.
