It might be more helpful to encourage people to seek professional help. This is not a flame, Derf, but as a life-long sufferer who has finally found help that has changed my life vastly for the better, I would rather take medication and talk through my distorted thoughts than consider suicide all the time, as I used to do. Depression is not one of the seven capital sins, but a form of mental illness, which requires treatment to one degree or another. It's not a character flaw. Please be kind to yourself.
