That's one reason I don't get along with people who THINK they have ultimate power. They don't take the time to even listen to another person's side...they just always go along with their decision just because they're the "boss".

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accepts no one's definition of your life; define yourself."

I carry that quote around in my purse. I started this at a time in my life when the boss at my work never let me have any say in the things we did. She never let me have any freedom.

And I tried changing the situation. I tried making myself more heard, and sometimes directly went against what she thought would be best, because her way made no sense.

Even though I loved that job because of the kids I worked with, I quit. I would have been fired soon anyway, eben though I was great at what I did, and I was dependable as hell. I'm not going to be fired because I have my own ideas, and I'm not going around sucking up to someone who doesn't know shit.
