I'm interested as to which other types you Fours out there find yourselves most attracted to. I'm wondering if Fours tend to gravitate towards certain types and avoid certain others. I'm talking about in all relationships -- romantic and platonic.
As for me, I find myself often attracted to Two women. Their warm motherliness gives me a sense of replacement for my own missing mothering. Twos' extrovertedness and open expression of feeling helps draw me out. On the down side, their effusiveness and over-talkativeness can feel suffocating. In addition, I find they can be superficial at times, esp. with 3 wing.
As for men, I find myself often attracted to Fives. I like their intellectual curiosity and openness to new thought. The Five men I know also tend to have a good sense of humor. On the down side, I feel rejected when a Five withdraws, and sometimes I feel embarrassed and ashamed of my "over-emotionalism" around Fives. (Interestingly, I am happily married -- not to a Five, but a Seven!)
I think in general I find Six an interesting type. It seems they can be highly feeling, somewhat similar to Fours. My brother is a Six with 7 wing -- very feeling with a great sense of humor.
I tend to avoid 3's and 8's unless they are very healthy. I find both types threatening and just their presence can cause my self-esteem to plummet in an instant. One's make me very nervous (my mother is a One) -- I always feel that I am about to do something wrong, be judged as being "bad."
I do okay with 9's, but if they are too passive, under-opinionated and too over-accomodating, I get bored and frustrated.
Of course, I love having Four friends (never been romantically involved with a Four).
Anyway, I'd love to hear from anyone . . .
