: Please write to me because I'm really depressed; I love being in school and feel less stressed there than sitting at home all the time by myself. : My doctor thought it was definately polycystic ovaries causing it but the scan showed they were normal. I can't find any information on homone imbalances on the net. Just lots of adverts for viagra. I have too much testosterone apparently. i'm new and don't know the whole story here, but how much do you trust your doctor? i cant say the source of your problem, but i can say i'm female and that i have a problem with rage, also. and that i come from a family full of rage-aholics. But why your rage may be surfacing now i cant say--tipped off by some hormonal imbalance or some emotional trigger? you say you were happy at the time. when are these episodes occuring in terms of your mentrual cycle? You may have pre-menstrual dysmophic syndrome. It is a diagnosis that has become more common and accepted in the medical field. do the surges coincide with any particular dates in your cycle? you should keep a record, maybe see another doctor. there are certain hormonal therapies available. If its not cause by some physical reason, you might have to search deeper. i know my occasional rage is caused by basic unhappiness and a low-grade depression, which i am no longer medicated for by choice. fortunately, it hasnt affected my job or schooling, but i take it out on my family too. I can also be a doormat, and it just builds up and explodes.it scares me, too. i don't like myself much when it happens and im trying to make changes in my life concerning my living and job circumstances to prevent these blow-ups. or i'll go back on the meds.
i hope you can come to some sort of understanding with the powers that be concerning your teaching job. i've wanted to teach also, but need to feel confident of my own stability before i try to get into it. Have faith it will all work out. Society still needs us fours. if you have any past demons that are causing this rage, now may be the time to confront them head on and vanquish them for good. Hang in there, Carrie
