I agree with you that we all need some kind of sport for aerobic exercise, whether it's directly competitive or not.
I have never been good at high contact sports, not because of the competition, (because competition based upon speed does not deter me that much), but because competition based upon strength and endurance (such as direct contact) would - I have never been big and strong, and naturally, our instintive reactions are that the smaller one flees and the bigger ones stay whenever any kind of competitive situation comes up between two people (or animals too) - this is based upon the flight or fight automatic reaction response system - it is in our nature to take the one action that is best suited to us in our immediate predicament -

: ***Kickboxing.
: Physically its one hell of an agressive work out. It's arobic and it tones and builds lean muscle mass. Plus its straight up fun and it forces you to focus and gain control over every single part of your body.

: Mentally, kickboxing builds your self confidence without fail. Kicking and punching just kinda comes with the male package. I mean, men can train and perfect their fighting skills, but they come out pretty much already knowing how. Women, on the other hand, don't. Maybe it's because we're are more or less taught not to. So, it's like, women don't really know that they CAN go balz-up ape-shit on a punching bag and train their bodies/minds to fight. Busting down that barrier has changed my life in so many different areas, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

: I highly reccommend kickboxing to everyone. especially women. go to your local gym or where ever and sign up right now. It's worth every penny and your body and mental stability will love you for it.
