My 10 year old nephew has just got back from going to Disneyland. I have been there too. you sound like T.s. Eliot going on about 'the hollow men, the stuffed men'. how can you judge people in this way. It is your perception that is at fault; seeing only a mass, a crowd, rather than a collection of individuals, some gathered in families, others in friendship groups or with partners. My nephew WAS happy there as a great many other children are. He is also a wonderful, witty, intelligent, perceptive and affectionate person. My sister and brother in law were there too and they are both lovely people. Both highly intelligent, caring, kind and down-to- earth. I have been extremely alienated for most of my life, feeling I came from a different planet to everyone else, but I still love my family. And I still see people as fellow human beings. Is this a kind of Four racism?
Only God sees what goes on in peoples hearts. They could have really complex and interesting lives and similar inner lives for all you know. Many of those people would have been on family holidays. I would certainly go to Disneyland again if I got the chance and I'm considered to be very intellectual and deep. My tutor wants me to do a doctorate. There is nothing profound about sneering. True depth of perception and feeling leads to us seeing the potential in everyone; for me that is expressed as seeing God in everyone. I thank God I was adopted into a down-to-earth family or I might never have survived being a Four.
