Anyway, that premise was something of a joke on my part; you can't really say that nature "intends" anything. You make your own choices, and according to the laws of physics, those choices either maintain you or kill you, or perhaps something in between. [I observe the influence of post-WW2 American bureaucratic pragmatism on me.] As an individual issue, biologically as well as prerogatively, this is a poor subject for debate.
