: : I believe that this incident took place in England but I could be wrong. It seems that a woman killed a man (I don't remember their association) by smashing him between her car and a telephone pole. Her defense was that PMS had negatively affected her ability to know what she was doing. She was not convicted of his murder. : Ev Very cute (giggle, giggle). I suppose that woman saved her own ass, but she also helped to perpetuate a lot of archaic sexist dogma. "Woman is incapable of reason. Woman needs to be locked up in a cage like a wild beast." (Nietzsche, paraphrased) No, I do not agree with old Friedrich. And I do not agree with that silly gal's defense. But hey... IF THAT'S THE WAY THEY WANT IT.... And I'm not suggesting that Rachel/Tiggy would go to that extreme, either. But delegating responsibility for your actions to your "native devils" will deplete your respectability. Doing this on behalf of something like PMS is especially fallacious because, as I said, you will thereby give an encouraging nudge, if not a liberating shove, to those individuals and interest groups who view "Woman" in the pre-20th-century/Oriental sense.
