Hi all-
Nice to hear from other 4s out there. I would guess that there is a substantial
correlation between type 4w5 and MBTI INFPs (I'm one so I should know!).
I think
both portraits share an emphasis on interior states, an ability to conjure
alternatives, well developed intuitive and creative abilities,
deep reservoirs of emotion, and an acute sensitivity to an
often hostile and *incomprehensible* world. One of the defining premises
seems to be that if we could only understand
the world we could get the missing (fill-in-the-blank) we need to feel
whole and worthwhile. Or something like that.
Anyhow, MBTI indicates that approx 1% of the population scores as
INFP. I have a feeling this may be accurate for the proportion scoring as
Enneagram type 4 as well, despite the statistics available on the RHETI page.
(I think 4s are naturally attracted to any means of better understanding
themselves..).
Take care.
