I know how you feel. Sometimes it takes a while for reality to set in... The same thing happened to me when my grandmother died last year. It is NOW, this year, that I find myself thinking of her a lot, missing her, and thinking about her life... of the life she had and what she is missing (or not missing!) now.
And my grandfather, who died almost 8 years ago... I loved him very very much, and have really wonderful memories of him. I think that for me he will never be "gone"... When we remember people, think of them often, I think that we kind of make a "heaven" for them in our hearts...
Your are now thinking a lot about your grandmother, and her death makes you think more about life... It's actually a really beautiful thing.
