: Ev, thank you very much! Now I understand, you were very clear. Though why Tiggy alternates between using "Tiggy" and "Rachel" remains an interesting mystery. And which is her real name? It's funny, we see each others' names on the board over and over again and we begin to form an image of the person based only on what we have at hand, the person's name and the particular style in which that person writes. Then they change names, and you feel that sense of, I don't know...I got it--you know how you get used to watching your favorite T.V. show or movie with the same actor in the part. Then in the sequel, or in next season's opener, you discover a different actor is going to play the part. Your mind has to "go through the car wash" to adjust.

: I have nothing against Tiggy/Rachel; we have shared of late some interesting threads back and forth (in fact I owe her a description of Don Riso's healthy vs. average fours from his new book, and thinking how best to present this to get everyone involved), it's just the concept of our writing back and forth to each other invisibly so-to-speak with only that name and person's writing style, and using those items plus our imaginations to get a sense of the real person. It's rather fascinating.

: P.S. I can relate (as my real name's Jay, but being shy and reclusive, "Jasper" is my stronger alter ego that gets me past my fears and onto this board in a demonstrative way).

Hi Jasper,

in my case you're able to see a picture of me too...just click the link if
you're interested...no need for car washes if I accidentally use my real
name Mikko.

I wouldn't say being Ronnie is an alter ego, it's just a different name. Maybe
it affects something, but it's just some feeling inside, not my personality or
traits. Actually, I think Ronnie is a bit more arrogant and a tad more uninhibited,
but not much.

Ronnie
