Aye, the inexactness of the English language rears its ugly head once again...
Obviously there are several different 'flavors' of depression and it helps
to make your definitions clear at the outset-mine of course fell into the
"self-pity-I-hate-my-life-I-want-the-girl-and-can't-have-her-I'll-just-
sit-here-and-feel-sorry-for-myself" category. ;-)

(just like we have one word for "love" under which falls a great many
emotions...)
