Enneagram Type 4 Board Archive Hair styles and attitudes?Posted by Primer Gray on October 26, 2001 at 14:50:01: In Reply to: It is the hair styles actually. posted by I am pretty; sure. on October 25, 2001 at 23:08:01: : : : Yes more females in 2 & 4, more males in 5 & 8. : : Hmmmmm... I haven't observed a gender imbalance with 4s... I think I've known a pretty equal number of males and females. I also don't think there is so much actual disparity in 8 as the stereotype suggests. : : As a female 5, tne thing that I've really wondered about is how much cognition and how much development play a part in the 2 and 5 gender polarizations. 2s are definitely the most generalized thinkers of the enneagram... 5s the most compartmentalized... cognitive styles that fit gender stereotypes (the old Mars & Venus bullshit). 2s are exploited/emotionally used/forced to be dependent, 5s are unbonded/rejected/forced to differentiate prematurely. Oh yes, like the old Timbuk 3 song. Hairstyles and attitudes, are they connected? Are styles we embrace a matter of taste or values reflected?
