: : are there any links between religion and enneagram?? my family is currently luthren, in which i dont feel i belong. so i was just wondering if there were religions 4's would tend to belive in so i could at least get a start at where to look. any suggestions would be appreaciated.

I always wondered about this, like how people "switch" religions, or "find" them. If you don't somehow start out believing something in particular (i.e., you "grew up" believing it, which means your parents took you to church or wherever and told you some particular religion was "true")...how do you get it later on? Like, if you find some 4-ish religion that seems "right"...do you just start believing it somehow?

Or maybe it's more like you look at/experience to some degree a few different things, and some seem to "resonate" more, or seem more logically true?

But it almost seems like you are looking for experiential expediency: you want a religion that your type "tends to believe in", which I guess you think means it will fit you comfortably or be more emotionally appealing somehow. Like, you want what meets your needs, not necessarily what's "true".

Which I suppose is sort of a precursor to even the idea of "looking for a religion", because every person who really *believes* their religion will tell you theirs is totally *true*.
