: I checked out "fourdom" (as Amanda puts it) and found nonsense regarding NetBus and what-have-you topping the list of messages. I didn'tplan on postin a new thread, but felt I had a responsibility to releive our friends of that top spot on the list....

: ..and I figured it was kind of relevant (to a post below), so why not give it a go?

: --------------------------------------------
: Alone.

: NOTE: The only time you can say that you are "alone" and still be with someone else is when you are in love with that someone else.

: NOTE: Being alone is a state of mind. Though it may seem like an oxymoron to say, "WE were alone," is isn't. Its all about entities.

: NOTE: Alone isn't all that bad.

: -ex: Being alone in the house.
: -ex: Being alone with the one you love.

: -And then thinking to yourself, "This is dedicated to the one I love."

:
: Who is alone? Not only can two people be together and alone, but those same two people can be alone individually. Like now. The same two people who were considered "alone" are now alone, but also are now not together.

: *But what if one of the people is alone? And the other person is with someone else? And that other person is considers him or herself to be alone at that point? What you have there is a failure to communicate.

: Just because you consider yourself to be alone with someone doesn't mean that they would ever use the phrase "alone" to describe that state of being.
: ---------------------(my thoughts from 7.16.99)---------------------------

:
: As far as fours' tendency to enjoy being alone...time with his or herself [though perhaps not our few extroverted fours] ...I tend to think that being "alone" with someone you love is just like being alone with yourself....except instead of "talking to yourself," (aka introspection. etc) you can talk to someone else....

: And imagine, its got nothing to do with sex! Who woulda thought?

"...Take my hand now to remember,
when you find yourself alone,
you're never alone.

And the spirit fills the darkness of the heavens.
It fills the deepest yearnings of the soul.
It lives within a star too far to dream of.
It lives within each part and is the whole.
It's the fire and the wings that fly us home."
- John Denver, "The Wings that Fly Us Home"
