You raise a good point here - and one that got me to thinking....

I suppose it IS easy for me to say that, given that I was married for such a long time. (As for 'easier' - who can say?) And maybe it has to do with being a 40 year old woman and having a perspective fashioned from the experience of knowing myself better....mmmm

Did I never feel this need? I honestly can't say that I ever did. But then, you must take into account that I started going out with my ex when I was barely 16 - so I don't think I even had the time to frame the question!

I sincerely hope that you find your soul-mate one day soon, Hal. You are a lovely guy and I'm sure the girl who finally finds you will be one very happy camper :)
