Ayla and Adavis - thank you both for your replies! I knew I was not the only one who likes to be alone, and it's always good to hear that other feel the same way I do. Especially on this matter as, like I said, most people around me don't understand that I enjoy and NEED to be alone! I can be a master of chit-chat (sometimes I even like it!), but too much of that kind of socializing drains me. I can work for hours on end without being tired, but 2-3 hours around other people can drain me totally. I enjoy doing things that I can only do by myself, like reading, writing and painting, and that is also part of the reason why I get tired of being around people too much as they "disturb" me in my activities. I prefer to work alone (creative work) since working with others would not allow me to be free and creative in my own way, at my own pace. I guess part of the reason why I don't like being too much around people is that I think they are too shallow and not interesting being around at all...Not that I'm the most exciting person in the world (or maybe I am!? hehe), but I easily get bored with chit-chat and shallow discussions, especially if people talk about something they no nothing about. Boring and annoying. (I DO like talking to people who are as smart as me, though! That was a joke. Maybe.) On the other hand - I know I need to be with PEOPLE to learn more about the human mind (including my own!) and after I found the enneagram I often find myself trying to type every person in the room, which is pretty interesting even if I'm not too good at it yet. Anyway....blahblahblah! *s* Bibi
