The shadow. You don't like in others what you don't like in yourself. Of course, you can also dislike in others things that have nothing to do with you, but unrelated characteristics hardly ever trigger much of a response. If you don't relate it's usually a "oh, that. i don't like that."

Whereas if you identify with someone else's flaw on some unconscious level, there's usually a reactionary tidal wave. "What? Did you see that? Disgusting!" etc. etc. etc...
