Enneagram Type 4 Board Archive If anything, I at least owe it to my ancestors to improve our standard of livingPosted by Margaret on April 11, 2002 at 19:34:07: In Reply to: When it's hard to ask for help - I don't know what happened posted by Margaret on April 11, 2002 at 19:16:36:
If anything, I owe it to my ancestors, who mostly came from Poland in the late 1800's. They all came here to live a better life. By now, the majority of my family and relatives have done that. They are all living at least middle to upper class level life with everything that comes with it that makes a good life. I am the only so-called "failure". I have so far "failed", in that I still have not reached the middle-upper socio-economic class standard of living in which my ancestors came here to offer their children, grandkids, etc a chance to improve their success, socio-economic class and status and basic standard of living in life. If anything I have lowered them even more, and have humiliated them by failing to live up to what they worked so hard to offer me for. This is truly the world's greatest nightmare. I have cousins that go to Ivy League shcools here in the east. If any of them found out how and where low-class status I live right now, I would *DIE*.
