whatever tool (dictionary, english book) you choose would be fine. the dictionary can be found at any book store, but you might need to go to a college book store or mail order catalog to find the english book. if you know of a hardware store nearby that includes these items as part of their stock, that would be fine. however, you would ask for ADVICE (noun), not ADVISE (verb).

as i said to derf, the issue is not whether my comments are presumptuous or guru-like. they indeed are, in fact. the issue is whether or not anyone agrees, and whether or not this is effective when "giving advice".
