I think you quite missed the point of my post... the basic point was that it only seems to you that people are presumptuous because you're sensitive to that tendency in yourself. Most people who post here (actually, I can't think of any except you, off-hand) don't have a problem with any 'false wisdom' being distributed. Maybe that's because we're all blind, but I doubt it. What I was suggesting was that instead of questioning everyone else, you should question yourself. When one person perceives something to be the problem that the majority of others don't, usually that means the one person is the aberration, and not vice versa. It'd be like someone who has a particular dislike for a given type saying "Hey, can anyone explain to me why Sevens suck? Why are Sevens that way?" When the truth is that Sevens don't suck any more than any other type does, it's a question of the individual's own bias. Of course you're probably going to read this message, see me say "of course" two or three times, and think "what a presumptuous prick." Maybe. It's quite possible. But you're hardly the first person to read my posts, and, with a few exceptions, people generally don't respond that way. And really, they don't respond that way to others either. Anyhow, draw your own conclusions. Maybe the presumptuousness you see everywhere will go away.
