[Ronnie]: I think that having a 3 wing makes it harder to be impersonal about things...because the feelings are always present. 4w5 seems more detached, each individual living in his/her own personal world. 4w3 (I'm one, in case you don't know) is more aware of being a part of the world, sort of.
[Cory] - Yes! Ever since I was a young child in elementary school, I remember getting in trouble (constantly) for "not paying attention", "not listening", "off in his own little world". I agree in the feeling difference. However, we should always remember that somethings are true for Most, but not All people. Not every 4w5 is more creative than a 4w3. As well, in high school I (4w5) absolutely LOVED doing theatre. I had no problems being seen by hundreds of strangers...in fact, I loved it because I knew I was entertaining them. However, that just might be my 3 wing in me.
[Ronnie]: 4w5 is more unique, individualistic and rather promotes these qualities at the sake of being successful in others' terms. 4w3 is more competitive and (as Riso has put it) is more aware of the audience, rather than aiming at maxium uniqueness. This has to be understood broadly, not just in the context of creative professions.
[Cory] - Also, from some of the 4w5's I know of...we usually have a strange sense of humor. We get amused with satire and sexual puns quite easily. The fact that 4w3's do more for an audience could explain why they are more common in the entertainment industry. The 4w5 writes for themselves, and if the audience happens to like it, brilliant! However, me being a 4w5, sometimes I've found myself writing for an audience, and actually I adore entertaining people...it makes me feel good and better about myself...so both wings Are present in me.
[Ronnie]: Thinking in characteristical stereotypes, I find that a stereotypical stage actor/director is a 4w3 and the artist, painter, etc is a 4w5. At any rate, 4w3 is much more self-contradictory, having traits that are more conflicting with each other--just combining four and three traits shows this.
[Cory] - Yes, the 4w3 is usually portrayed as that flamboyant stage director in the scarf screaming..."YOU ARE A TREE! FEEL THE LEAVES ON YOU!". It seems to me that 4w3's have an advantage in this world because they are more extraverted and have better people skills than us loners. Its been said that the USA is a Three culture (albeit an Unhealthy one of course!), so the 4w3 can make a place for themselves easier than a 4w5.
