This sounds perfectly 4-like to me. It makes a lot of sense.
I think all children do things to impress adults and get approval, so there's nothing unusual about showing off your reading talents. Maybe it's not specifically 4-ish, but points to the innate intelligence of our type. :-)
An attraction to the mysterious and frightening is very 4-ish. How many other types would keep dreaming about the ocean if they had almost drowned twice?
Feeling detached from family and classmates fits in perfectly; I had exactly the same experience. We live in our own world because we don't feel like part of everyone else's. We daydream about what we had in the past and what awaits us in the perfect future when things will magically turn around for us. We feel for the underdog because we feel we are underdogs, always being put down, repressed, and misunderstood.
