Hi Brian,
Finding a fulfilling career has been especially important for me in not becominge so self-absorbed - a guess a common trait among "4"s. I have copied a posting that I submitted several months ago to the general message board. I thought it might be helpful in giving you hope that finding a rewarding career for a "4" is possible. Best of luck!

"Hello everyone. Just a quick note to introduce myself. I think I'm a 4 with a 5 wing and an INFP.
Some of the reasons I think I am a 4 is because I wake up everyday with the same questions - what
is the meaning of life?; what is my purpose? Additionally, I thrive on authentic and deeper levels of
communication. I am overly philosophical and have a therapist / teacher type menatility. I am 35
and am an Organizational Development Consultant for a University. In my position, I see myself as
basically a therapist for organizations. In fact, this week I am doing a workshop on interpersonal
communication - not surprising, that alot of my focus is on creating conversations that are
meaningful and authentic. I also enjoy helping employees find more meaning in what they do. I believe
this is very important for 4's."
