Hi, I am a 5w6. I have missed all you 4s on the main message board.
It seems that I relate a lot more to the things you talk about--especially
about isolating. I tend to get very comfortable in my own world in my
apartment--I do not work now--and I find tons of interesting projects
to get involved in. I was reading this 4 message board about being
uncomfortable with social activities. One of the things I deal with all
the time is going into stores where I see the same people all the time
(who work there) and always feeling that I should be super friendly
and start talking with them. Because otherwise, time goes by and it's
kind of like knowing them but not knowing them. Does anyone else deal
with this particular issue at all? Once I get to know someone, of course,
that's a different story. With people I am close with, they know me and
like me. But the situation of just bumping into neighbors once in a while
or people in stores comes up for me. This thing about saying hi and making everyday small talk kind of embarrasses me and I feel pretty shy
about it. Anyone have any comments to share?
