I've often got myself into a situation where I've seen someone several times and
haven't said 'Hello' yet, and it feels completely silly to introduce myself
because I've seen them so often, but I haven't actually said anything to them
ever. It's awkward and completely ridiculous, but I still don't know how more
friendly types manage to say 'hello' the first time.
Presumably it's because us Fours and Fives are unwilling to speak unless 'we
can astound the room with a proverb'.[1]

You can delete old text just as you can delete your own text.
