Micki - hehe, that happens all the time, no worry! If we care to look at the time and date it shouldn't be too hard to figure out the order of the messages.
As for what you said about NOT being a newcomer, yes - I relate to that too. I had the same problem where I used to live, and saw the same persons year after year and still not wanting them to get too close or friendly with me.
I really feel stupid sometimes when I take part in some chit chat with people who work in a store for instance, and I often hit myself for saying silly things...*s*
I do think it's polite to say "hello", though, and not ignore people totally. But I try to leave it at that.
