I was just browsing through the message titles and this one caught my eye
(if you'll pardon the worst pun I ever made). Lately "going first" in first time
hello situations has been on the top of my mind. I working at a church, and
part of my job is visiting. But I'm absolutely up against a brick wall when it
comes to dropping in on people. Perhaps as fours, seeking our deep mean-
ing in all relationships, the prospect of going in cold to a new relationship,
even small talk at a party, is to us an ominous prospect. Our hypersensi-
tivity to rejection may make us extra vulnerable in this type of situation. So
if you're hung up about this problem as a personal problem, there's at least
one other four out here who has the same thing. Let's all remember who we
are, and try to take it easy on ourselves. We deserve it.
