Enneagram Type 4 Board Archive ESTJ = Evil Sadistic Total JerkPosted by Cory on October 24, 1999 at 16:31:24: In Reply to: Re: Thanks comments posted by Tiggy on October 24, 1999 at 11:17:55:
T: The above also relates to a comment of yours lower down, which I found dissapointingly childish, namely, T: "I think all ESTJ's should be killed....Stalin was an ESTJ." T: And C: It's called hyperbole. Especially the first one...no, I don't think they should be killed!!!!! I do think they are really shallow pricks though. T: These comments are blatantly rascist. C: This is a hatred of a TYPE, not a RACE. It's not racist. T: If we acknowledge that large parts of humanity are either born as ESTJ's or become like this through parenting, upbringing etc., then it differs little from criticising someone or indeed, hating someone, on the basis of their racial origins or culture. C: This is Bad though! That's like saying we shouldn't hate a psychopathic murderer because they were born that way. ESTJs are cursed by their nature. T: To cite that Stalin was an ESTJ with the implication that therefore all ESTJ's must be bad, is not only absurd, but is typical of many rascist arguments. C: Ever heard of an evil INFP? I didn't say ALL ESTJs are bad people, I just hate them...and Stalin is an example of what they are capable of. T: Many psychopaths are Sixes, but many good people are sixes too. C: And many people thought those psychopathic Sixes were "good people" until they found about their schemes! T: I'm surprised at your naivety and lack of your usual intelligence in this matter. C: It's "naivete". There's my usual intelligence. T: As the opposite of the type you are yourself, you being INFP I believe, according to Enneagram theory and the work of the Jungian analyst and colleague of Jung, Marie Louise von Franz it represents the parts of yourself which you have repressed, the parts you have problems with. First get the beam out of your own eye! C: I'm familiar with the shadow. In fact, I call myself the "Shadow of Society". For the ESTJ, the INFP is the worst kind of person to be. ESTJs naturally hate INFPs, so I will naturally hate ESTJs. Every single ESTJ I know is a total cocksucker. I'm sorry for that word, but it's the nicest one I can think of. If you've ever had an ESTJ for a boss (like me), you will see where I'm coming from. T: You do have a point in that the ESTJ type predominates in your culture, perhaps not in mine, and so feel in the oppressed minority. I'll e-mail you some parts of an article that relates to this bias as it's quite long. C: Yes, in USA the ESTJ is the ideal for the male, and the ESFJ for the female. As a result, male INFPs and female INTPs have it the worse. It's such a shallow, materialistic, instinctive "culture" we have. I am not proud to be an American. The word American is synonymous with ESTJ for me. "Tradition, family, hard work, God, organization, conformity, society". I'm going to be sick. T: EXTROVERTED persons are attuned to the culture, people, and things around them, endeavoring to make decisions congruent with demands and expectations. The extrovert is outgoing, socially free, interested in variety and in working with people. The extrovert may become impatient with long, slow tasks and does not mind being interrupted by people. C: Extraversion (or extroversion...I have no idea how it's spelled, I see it spelled either way 50% of the time). Extraverts aren't ever as deep as an Introvert, but they are nice (usually). They compliment my introversion quite well, and I could get along well with an EN, but not with an ES. T: The SENSING type prefers the concrete, real, factual, structured, tangible here-and-now, becoming impatient with theory and the abstract, mistrusting intuition. The sensing type think in careful, detail-by-detail accuracy, remembering real facts, making few errors of fact, but possibly missing a conception of the overall. C: They are so unimaginative and idiotic, like an animal. The iNtuitive function is more superior than the archaic Sensing function, since it has arisen only in man. As well, Sensing people are the most boring in the world! T: The THINKING makes judgments about life, people, occurrences, and things based on logic, analysis, and evidence, avoiding the irrationality of making decisions based on feelings and values. As a result, the thinker is more interested in logic, analysis, and verifiable conclusions than in empathy, va1ues, and persona1 warmth. The thinker may step on others' feelings and needs without realizing it, neglecting to take into consideration the values of others C: Especially the last part. That's why alot of the Thinkers I've come across are total jerks! T: The JUDGER is decisive, firm, and sure, setting goals and sticking to them. The judger wants to close books. make decisions. and get on to the next project. When a project does not yet have closure, judgers will leave it behind and go on to new tasks and not look back. C: I admire this, I wish I could be a J. T: I can sense you getting into a sulk - so don't! What drew THIS negative outburst? Did your parents tell you off? 'Proud' is the word - this pride is counterphobic. C: No, but I've had some recent bad experiences with ESTJs. My dad is an ISTJ, my mom an ISFJ I think. My sister is an ISFJ. My bosses at work are ESTJs. I was reading an article on ESTJness in our society and became revolted. -Cory, INFP Rebel
