this can be a difficult problem, but if you are really set on getting involved with music, the best thing you can do is work on it a lot at home or get a teacher (I'm not sure what kind of music you mean). Getting a teacher can help you by giving you constructive critisism and also letting you know when you are doing great. If you want to preform, bring a couple of really close buds over and try it in front of them, first. Or, if you get a chance, try it with an audience that you don't know ANYONE in, and who you might never see again. The point is to work at it until you feel successful, then your confidence will go way up, and your cute little turtle face will come right out of that shell. Fours like attention, just not in the same way as the other types, so don't feel that being a 4 limits you. Also, performing isn't the same as direct interaction with people. Oh, yeah, and DON'T let the opportunity of talent pass you by. :-) As far as literature goes, I'm not quite sure what you meant...
