"I want that." That was my first astrology book. It was also the first time I saw myself as having "characteristics". Before then, I was completely blind. It was like I was living my young life in a fog. When I saw the characteristics of a Taurus, I realized there was more to me than confusion, sadness, and isolation. It was a tool to understanding myself. Astrology bashers don't bother me. If it wasn't for that very first book, I wouldn't know nearly as much about myself (or others) than I do now. And I have to admit, I'm pretty damn proud of what I've learned and how far I've come over the years. : a Taurus with Taurus rising, Virgo moon, and Sun, Venus & Mercury in the 12th house~~~~ : Athena :) Great story, Athena. Different psychologies work for different people. The secret, of course, is to find what does for us. If astrology works for you, then stick with it. I had my chart done for the first time this year, and the astrologist told me that there was uranus or pluto in the 12th house (I can't remember which), but one of them in the 12th house means you have an understanding and love of astrology and would be good as a professional in the field.
