I questioned the researchers concerning this fact and was notified that the statistical majority (over 60 percent) of INFP's are truly nines. As far as the earlier question as to how a four could be an INTP, the answer might lie in the "wings", so to speak. The shy, deeply introverted four is, for the most part, also highly intellectual. This is due to a strong five wing and, once you read most of the messages on our board, you'll come to find that that reflects most of the audience presently reading this message. Of course, that's with the exception of Fred (Derf) whom, after a great deal of soul searching, decided that his three wing was far stronger than his five... ;)
