Connie, I was very touched by your message. I am younger than you but am experiencing the very same feelings. I, too, wish that I hadn't wasted time and had accomplished more. What I have realized while experiencing these painful feelings is that the minute I begin moving toward a meaningful goal and/or life, I feel relief from my suffering. Even the littlest steps have inspired joy and excitement... which tells me I am moving in the right direction. It is never too late to make your life more fullfilling. Many people have made huge changes in their lives midlife. It's very inspiring to read other people's stories. You are not alone. You may want to check out the book, "I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What it Was" by Barbara Sher. There are good stories in there. Start with small changes. From these small changes you'll gain more energy and courage to make more changes. Faith helps too. I believe we all have a purpose here and that we are supposed to use our talents and abilities to the fullest!!! You might want to hook up with others who feel as you do...
